LPC2103 tutorials

[Mail:Me:]

Introduction

All tutorials are for Linux as a host system! No Windows-related material is here!

Hardware

Tutorials on this site are targeted on Embedded Artist's LPC2103 Education Board. Sometimes I refer also to “LPC2103 Christmas Tree” which you cannot buy anymore.

You also will need a host computer to run all the tools. I do not know how non-x86 systems will work. My host computer is IBM Thinkpad T41.

The last peace of the hardware you need is USB cable to connect your board to your host computer.

Linux distribution

I recommend Debian Linux and I run Debian unstable. Nevertheless, any modern distribution should work. Warning: I tried to use AMD-based 64-bit Ubuntu 8.10 system and failed due to the strange error during toolchain compilation.

Update: this patch may help you. With it I successfully compiled binutils-2.19 on 64-bit Ubuntu 9.04.
